Thrilled to be part of one of Dr. Izdihar Jamil's best selling books. This wonderful book will help millions around the world to overcome fears and embrace living their best life.

The best reset is sleep, but we can't always take a nap in the middle of the day. I like to take a quick walk in nature or just do nothing. I always take the chance to embrace a moment of rest. If I can glance out of a window, I allow myself to daydream, even if it's only for a few minutes. It raises my energy levels
Holidays are a time of reflection but does that cause you pain? Holidays aren’t always a celebrated time for all. Historically during major holidays we reflect on the past. Memories can be comforting and fun. For others it translates into an acute awareness, of the absence.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I lost my sister in 2007 after her remission ended with a vengeance. One day while strolling along the L.I. Shore I spotted something that made me aware I was not alone and how much my sister loves me. I'm delighted that Thrive has published a piece from my book called, A Gift.
The Power of Self Love: From little children on we are taught to put other people before ourselves; respect your elders, share your toys etc., and while good manners are important, somewhere it translated into something very bad. We learned over time to devalue ourselves and our needs.
My walk in nature is always the best part of my day. I’m fortunate that a lovely river walk is nearby, and the nature walk puts me in the most amazing frame of mind to kick off my day. I also take photos, and they become an easy emotional getaway throughout the day if it’s stressful.
I'm delighted to share another piece from my book has been published on Thriveglobal.com, which is a digital format founded by Arianna Huffington. Check it out!

Crystal Meyer posted a note on her FB after she received my book as a gift from a mutual friend of ours.
I hope it brings much relief in the coming months as she is embraces the process.
With light and love,

Kathy, thank you for taking the photo used in my article, I am sorry I missed the opportunity to give you proper credit! The post you followed up with is so unbelievably touching!

Kelsey Bassanini, is a therapeutic Pain Specialist, at Natural Health Improvement Center of San Jose. I asked if she would comment on my work and here is what she wrote, "I pulled out your book and reviewed it again. I think it is especially useful for a companion of someone who is grieving. Your words provide insight into the different ways that we process grief. Knowing that allows friends and family to be present in mourning without the pressure of asking "How do you feel? What can I do?"
Kelsey, thank you so much, it is a goal for my book to be "a companion" during the grieving process. DR
I met Gina at Talbots and gifted her a copy of my book. Shortly afterwards she sent me an amazing treasure, pictured above, along with a beautiful handwritten note where she said, "I keep the book you gave me in my purse and read it when I find myself missing someone."
Gina, I am so touched by your lovely words and the gorgeous handcrafted pen set! DR
Left a touching quote on Amazon, she wrote, "This book has so much wisdom, love, insight, and passion. Grief can and has taken me to my knees, Deb's writing gave me hope.
Phyllis, thank you for those kind words and I hope the book will continue to offer you relief. Love DR
To say this was a dream come true! We had a great time and I made new friends. The take away is to always keep following your dreams. Theatre is always the giver my friends.
With Light and Love, Deb
This is a wonderful collection that has taken me months to wander through, to savor...You might want to seek out some silence... I found three poems in here that opened a door I usually keep shut ...This is a book worth owning, even for folks who aren't typically into poetry.
I am so honored to be included in this amazing global collaboration. Chimera means: a thing that is hoped or wished for but in fact is illusory. Also known as a mythical beast, the King of Chimera who makes impossibilities possible.
